Francis P. Landini

OI241836496_Landiniphoto-2Francis P. Landini, 87, of 207 North Street, Brockway, passed away at his residence on Saturday, June 11, 2016.

He was born February 1, 1929, in Brockway, son of the late Frank P. and Nellie (Vencenyo) Landini. On October 14, 1950 in St. Marys Church in St. Marys he married Rita Fritz who survives.

He is survived by four generations of nieces and nephews. He was the last member of his immediate family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Tecla (Gilbert) Mazzocco of Erie, Mary Landini and Josephine (Howard) Scull of Brockway, and two brothers, Lucian (Gilda) Landini, of Erie, and Urbano Landini, in infancy.

He was a lifelong resident of Brockway and graduated from Brockway High School Class of 1947. He was a master mould maker at Brockway Glass, Inc. and retired in 1987 after 40-1/2 years of service. He served during the Korean conflict and spent 17 months in Germany with the 2nd Armored 12th Infantry Battalion.

He enjoyed camping, fishing, wood working and traveling. He was a member of St. Tobias Catholic Church and had served as Eucharistic Minister and Altar Server. He was a member of the American Legion and the Brockway Historical Society.

Calling hours will be on Monday, June 13 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Carlson-Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. in Brockway. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 14 at St. Tobias Church in Brockway at 9:30 AM with Msgr. Charles Kaza presiding.

Burial will follow at the St. Tobias Cemetery.

A Vigil Service will be held Monday evening at 7:45 PM at the funeral home. Full Military Honors will be accorded Tuesday Morning at the cemetery by Parson-Marnati Post #95 of the American Legion.
