Frank Parise, Jr. 87, of Walston, passed away on Sunday, May 10, 2015, at Mulberry Square in Punxsutawney.
Mr. Parise was born on Oct. 2, 1927 in Punxsutawney, a son of the late Frank R. Parise, Sr. and Josephine Adams Parise.
On Oct. 1, 1950, he married the former Margaret Jane Long. She preceded him in death.
Frank was a veteran of the United States Army, enjoying boxing in his free time while serving his country.
Some of his favorite pastimes included hunting, fishing and baseball. Frank was also a lifetime member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles.
Surviving relatives include two daughters, Joyce Parise of Walston and Debbie Parise of Punxsutawney; five grandchildren, Melissa, Carmell, Damian, Michael and Bianca; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Josephine; his wife, Margaret; and one brother, Joseph Parise.
A memorial service will be held this afternoon, Thursday, May 14, 2015, at 2 p.m. at the Assembly of God Church in Walston, officiated by Pastor Tim Michaux.
