Frederick L. “Fred” Foltz

Frederick L. “Fred” Foltz, 76, DuBois, passed away Monday, March 20, 2023 at Penn Highlands DuBois.

Born September 13, 1946, in Reynoldsville, he was the son of the late Irvin M. and Flora B. (Sample) Foltz.

On March 20, 1965, he married Diane (Heffner) Foltz at Mt. Zion Methodist Church.

Together they celebrated 58 years of marriage. She survives.

Fred graduated from Triangle Tech with an electrical degree.

In his working years, he was employed by Keystone Carbon, Brockway Pressed Metals, and Trail King Industries.

Fred also traveled for the steel union.

He was a 50-year member of F.O.E. #540 in Reynoldsville where he held various offices.

Fred enjoyed bowling, softball, dirt track racing, and golfing.

He was Methodist by faith.

In addition to his wife, Fred is survived by three children, Frederick “Rick” (Victoria) Foltz, DuBois, Tracey Bachman, Wrightsville, PA, and Marcie Caine (Mike McCool), Brookville; six grandchildren, Christopher (Holly) Foltz, Ryan (Amanda) Foltz, Brianne (Taylor) Johnson, Brandon Bachman, Shayna (Alex) Tegel, and Sarah Caine; five great-grandchildren, Cameron, Charlotte, Amelia, and Micah Foltz, and JordiRae Johnson; three siblings, Russell Foltz, Mill Village, PA, Earl Foltz, Reynoldsville, and Annabelle Fuller, Reynoldsville, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Fred was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Wendy Susanne Foltz; three brothers, Ervin “Buck” Foltz Jr., and William and Larry Foltz, and three sisters, Dora Mae Horner, Nettie Mottern, and Gloria Smith.

Friends and family will be received Thursday, March 23, 2023 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. from the Adamson Funeral Chapel and Crematorium.

Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. from the funeral chapel with Pastor Dave Nagele officiating.
