Frigid Air Mass Expected to Result in Dangerously Low Wind Chills

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Pa. (EYT) – The National Weather Service in Pittsburgh has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for the region.

The following message was issued by the National Weather Service in Pittsburgh on February 11, 2015:

THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR EAST CENTRAL OHIO…NORTHWEST PENNSYLVANIA…SOUTHWEST PENNSYLVANIA…WEST CENTRAL PENNSYLVANIA…NORTHERN WEST VIRGINIA AND NORTHERN PANHANDLE OF WEST VIRGINIA.

DAY ONE…TODAY AND TONIGHT:

HAZARDOUS WEATHER IS NOT EXPECTED AT THIS TIME.

DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY:

A FRIGID AIR MASS WILL ENGULF THE REGION FOLLOWING TONIGHT’S COLD FRONTAL PASSAGE. WIND CHILL ADVISORIES ARE LIKELY TO BE NEEDED BY
THURSDAY NIGHT…AND THROUGH THE WEEKEND.
