Full Slate of Halloween Events Scheduled in Brookville

BROOKVILLE, Pa. (EYT) – Halloween weekend in Brookville will have no shortage of activities for young and old trick-or-treaters alike.

The festivities begin on Saturday, October 29, as the Brookville Chamber of Commerce hosts Haunted Brookville with a full day and night of events.

The YMCA Color Runs begin in the morning. The Half Marathon starts at 10;00 a.m. and will be followed by the 5K and 1.5 mile runs at 11:00 a.m. To register, call the Y at 814-849-7355.

Miller’s Precious Treasures will host tea leaf readings by Kristyn at 11:00 a.m. Call 814-849-3669 for more information.

Also at 11:00 a.m. in front of Miller’s Precious Treasurers, Passages Inc. is teaming up with the Teal Pumpkin Project to provide non-food, allergy-friendly items for all to enjoy.

From 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., In-Home Solutions will host “Haunted Hospital” at 298 Main Street with six rooms of fun.

There will be spooky Halloween stories for kids, trick-or-treat bags for everyone, and a best costume contest. There will prizes for first- and second-places in three age groups, including up to age 6; ages 6 to 12, and 12 and older.

At 3:00 p.m., Clarion University students in the Theatre Division’s Dance Artistry group will provide free instruction in the ballroom in downtown to anyone wanting to learn the zombie dance moves to Michael Jackson’s “Thriller.”

From 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Medium Sara Sachs will give people a chance to connect with loved ones that have passed away at the Heritage House on Sylvania Street. Tickets are on sale by going to http://AnAfternoonOfMediumship.eventbrite.com.

At 7:00 p.m. at the Trinity Episcopal Church on Pickering Street, the original 1925 film “Phantom of the Opera” will be shown with live organ music provided by Nathan and Kathy Mohney. This is a free event.

From 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., join the folks from the Jefferson County History Center for a tour of the town and learn some of the little known strange and true eerie happenings. Call the Center for tickets at 814-849-0077.

From 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., test your skills, solve the puzzles, and make it out alive of the Escape Room within a hour at the Brady Craig Building on Jefferson Street. It will also be open on October 14 and 15, 21 and 22, and October 28. For groups of 2 to 6, advance reservations are required. Call 814-849-0077 or go to jchconline.org.

Also, Clarion Federal Credit Union will be passing out s’mores kits.

Additionally, there will be Halloween parties at Pinecrest Country Club and Iron Mountain Grille.

On Monday, Octiber 31, Halloween begins at 5:30 p.m. with the parade beginning at the YMCA on Main Street and ending at the Brookville Volunteer Fire Company.

Trick-or-treating will run until 8:00 p.m.
