Fundraiser for Brockport Woman Shot by Bar Patron

1968153_1408320080.4903BROCKPORT, Pa. (EYT) – An online fundraiser has been established for Cera Bianco, a local bartender who was shot multiple times by a customer on August 13.

According to State Police, the incident happened on August 13 at the Brockport Army & Navy Club on Boggy Run Road in Brockport, Elk County.

State police say Eric Carlson, 31, of Brockway, engaged in an argument with the 20-year-old bartender after he became upset when she tried to close the bar. When Bianco attempted to get Carlson to leave, he allegedly shot her multiple times with a pistol and then shot and killed himself, according to police.

Bianco was flown to UPMC Altoona for treatment, where she has undergone numerous surgeries.

“It is so hard to bear the sight of her laying in that hospital bed, fighting for her life, with the myriad of tubes and hoses and wires attached to every part of her anatomy,” said Cera’s Grandfather, Frank Bianco.

“She loved everyone openly and without prejudice, especially those that others did not, and that led to her pain and suffering.”

To help relieve the burden of medial bills and other related costs, Cera’s family has established an online fundraiser.
