G. Sherwin Farmery, 61, of Rochester Mills, passed away unexpectedly, Tuesday, September 15, 2015 in Perry Twp.
Mr. Farmery was born October 26, 1953 in Punxsutawney, a son of Aaron C. Farmery who survives of Rochester Mills, and the late Ruth (Huff) Farmery.
Sherwin is survived by his loving wife Linda (Cressley) Farmery of Rochester Mills.
He was a member of Valley Chapel United Methodist Church. In addition to his wife Linda, and his father Aaron, he is survived by his sons Brett Farmery and wife Carey Jaros of Shaker Heights, OH, Gregg Farmery and wife Catherine (Kitty) of Paducah, KY, sister Patricia and husband John of Halifax, PA, brothers William Farmery and wife June, Roger Farmery and wife Judy, all of Rochester Mills, Dwight Farmery and wife Shirley of Marion Center, grandchildren Jack, Frances, Lucy, Eloise, and Madeline Farmery, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Sherwin’s main occupation was plumber, but he always did what he loved most: tell stories, solve problems, and help those in need. He also loved his children and grandchildren deeply.
Friends will be received from 1 – 8 PM Saturday, September 19 at the McCabe Funeral Home in Punxsutawney.
A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Sunday at Valley Chapel United Methodist Church with Pastor Janet Chiplis officiating.
Internment at Union Cemetery is private for family.
