Gail A. Fields

4166_sm[1]Gail A. Fields, 73, of New Bethlehem, PA passed away Friday, January 8, 2016, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born September 13, 1942 in Kittanning, PA, the daughter of Walter “Rummy” and Maxine (Thompson) Rumbaugh.

Gail lived in the Rimersburg area most of her life and worked at Clarion University for 32 years as a secretary in the business and graduate offices. She was a former member of the Clarion Community Choir and her favorite hobbies were knitting and crocheting. Gail loved traveling and visited many wonderful places throughout her life. Along with her husband, Lanny, she traveled to Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Canada and the western United States. They took many cruises and visited the Caribbean and Alaska, and the two also spent many happy years kayaking and downhill skiing. Camping with her daughter, Kelley, and her family were some of Gail’s favorite memories.

She will be deeply missed by her loving husband of over 50 years, Lanny C. Fields; daughter, Kelley Haselsberger and husband, Mark, of Greensboro, NC; grandchildren, Brian Haselsberger and Erica Haselsberger; sister, Chrysta Stine and husband, Shawn, of York; nephew, Curtis Stine; niece, Madison Stine; sister-in-law, Cathy Kunkle and husband, Clancy, of Indiana, PA; brother-in-law, John Fields; and very best lifelong friends, Midge Mong and Molly Main.

Gail was preceded in death by her parents.

Friends will be received from 10 AM until the time of memorial service at 11 AM on Tuesday, January 12, 2016, at the Bauer-Hillis Funeral Home, 758 Main St., Rimersburg, with William King officiating.

Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Rimersburg, PA.
