Gail A. Kalgren, 64, Penfield, passed away Saturday, December 25, 2021 at Penn Highlands DuBois.
Born December 31, 1956, in DuBois, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Donna (Powers) Shoemaker.
On September 18, 1976, she married Douglas Kalgren at the Hickory Church in DuBois. He preceded her in death on December 12, 2014.
Gail graduated from the DuBois Area High School.
She was the secretary and treasurer for the Huston Township Water Authority.
Gail was a member of the Hickory Grange and enjoyed collecting oil lanterns and spending time with her family.
She was Protestant by faith.
Gail is survived by three children, Shawna Kalgren, DuBois, Douglas (Tammy) Kalgren, Penfield, and Donald (Lisa) Kalgren, Penfield; four grandchildren, Travis, Dylan, Abigail, and Alyson, and a brother, Richard David Shoemaker, DuBois.
In addition to her husband and parents, Gail was preceded in death by a sister, Sharon Shoemaker, and a brother, Randy L. Shoemaker.
Friends and family will be received Tuesday, December 28, 2021 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. and Wednesday, December 29, 2021 from 10-11 a.m. at the Adamson Funeral Chapel & Crematorium.
Following Wednesday’s visitation, a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. from the funeral chapel with LaMarr Adamson CLP officiating.
Interment will be in Conway Cemetery.
