Gant Daily: Police Investigating Hit-and-run Accident

LAWRENCE TOWNSHIP, Pa. – The investigation is continuing into a hit-and-run accident involving an occupied vehicle that occurred Dec. 19 in Lawrence Township.

According to the incident report, police were initially dispatched to the Toasted Monkey in Hyde. Upon arrival police identified the suspect vehicle, which was being operated by a Woodland man.

Shortly after clearing the scene, police located a vehicle involved in an accident in the area of South Second and Chester streets. Upon investigation police determined it involved the vehicle from the hit-and-run accident at the Toasted Monkey.

The vehicle fled from the scene of the accident on South Second Street. It was then involved in a second accident in Clearfield Borough and became disabled in the area of Domino’s Pizza.

The operator of the vehicle fled on foot prior to the arrival of Clearfield Borough police. The investigation is continuing and anyone with information is asked to contact Lawrence Township police at 814-765-1533.
