Gary E. Palmer

Gary E. Palmer, age 60, of Kearney Road Brockway, Pa; died on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at his daughter Melissa’s home where he had been making his residence.

Born on February 6, 1955 in DuBois, Pa; he was the son of Donald Palmer and the late Mary Sue Ward Palmer.

Retired, he had been employed at Owens-Brockway Glass where he had worked as a trucker and in maintenance.

Gary was baptized Catholic.

He was a member of the V.F.W. Club. He also enjoyed hunting, attending the local race tracks watching his son-in-law “Fuzzy” race, and taking fishing trips to Lake Ontario.

Gary also enjoyed tinkering, especially with small engines.

He is survived by his father Donald (Linda) Palmer of Emlenton, Pa; one daughter: Melissa (Fuzzy) Fields of Brockway, two sons: Mark (Sammy) Palmer of Union City, PA; and Michael Palmer of Brockport; 8 brothers: Richard (Tammy) Palmer of Clarion, PA; Russell (Jennifer) Palmer, Chris (Jennifer) Palmer both of Emlenton, PA; Ronald (Jean) Palmer of Ridgville, SC; Donald (Nicole) Palmer, Daniel Palmer, Jeffrey Palmer, Allen Palmer all of Parker, PA; 10 sisters: Sherrie Nale; Jodi (Larry) Wingate both of Brockway; Michelle Craig of Franklin, PA; Cindy (Bill) Ford of Parker, PA; Maria (Terry) Clark; Amy Palmer; Angie (Robert) Brown; Ashley (Eric) Sherman; Alicia (Frank) Guist all of Emlenton, PA; Laura (Aaron) Slaughenhoupt of Cranberry Twp, PA.

He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Calling hours will be on Monday April 27 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Carlson-Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. in Brockway.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 28 at 11:00 A.M. also at the funeral home with Rev. Terry Felt officiating.

Burial will follow in Temple Cemetery at Hazen.

Memorial donations may be made to the Brockway Area Ambulance Association or Hahne Caner Center at DuBois.
