Gary J. Giovannelli, age 69, of Longwell Road Brockway, PA died on Friday, January 15, 2016 at his residence.
Born on January 7, 1947 in DuBois, PA; he was the son of the late Tungred and Ruth Neal Giovannelli.
On November 19, 1976 he was married to Linda S. Richtarsic and she preceded him in death on July 20, 2011.
Gary proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps during Vietnam as an Amtrak Navigator. After his discharge from the military, he went to work at Brockway Pressed Metals as an Oil Impregnator Operator until his retirement.
He is survived by 3 sons: Timothy (Vicki) Richtarsic of DuBois; Angelo ( Malinda) Giovannelli of Brockway and Tony (Danielle) Giovannelli also of DuBois; 3 brothers: Don, Nick and Bill Giovannelli.
Gary was also blessed to have 5 grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and his wife he is also preceded in death by a sister Connie Patton.
Calling hours will be on Tuesday, January 19 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Carlson-Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. in Brockway.
A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday afternoon at 1:00 PM also at the funeral home. Burial will follow in St. Tobias Cemetery.
Full Military Honors will be accorded by Parson-Marnati Post #95 of the American Legion Wednesday morning at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be may to the American Cancer Society.
