Genevieve “Gen” Doksa, age 95 of Bellefonte, PA, formerly of DuBois, PA died Friday, January 8, 2021, at Nelson’s Golden Years.
Born on December 16, 1925, in Eriton, PA, (West Liberty), she was the daughter of the late Walter and Agnes (Petro) Baranoski.
On July 23, 1949, she married Chester “Chet” Doksa. He preceded her in death on February 1, 2010.
Gen was a homemaker.
She was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church where she was a member of the Rosary Infant of Prague Society.
Gen is survived by her daughter, Mona Jean Barr and her husband John “Jack” of Charlotte, NC; and her son, Donald C. Doksa and his wife Vicki of Bellefonte, PA; 4 grandchildren, Kelley Jean Barr Moore & Peter Barr and Jason Doksa & Jenna Doksa King; 5 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Josephine Krulia of Pittsburgh, PA, and Bernice Rydbom of Meadville, PA.
She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Frank and Walter Baranoski, and 3 sisters, Mary Vesnesky, Dorothy Ball, and Phyllis Godak.
Due to our current circumstances, there will be no public visitation.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 12, 2021, at 10 AM from St. Michael The Archangel Roman Catholic Church with Msgr. Richard Siefer as celebrant.
Burial will be in St. Michael Cemetery.
