Born May 15, 1926, in Tyler, PA, she was the daughter of the late Barney and Martha (Maholtz) Cheslock.
On October 16, 1948, she married Bernard Anderson in Tyler, PA. He preceded her in death in 2002.
Genevieve graduated from Huston Township High School.
She was a homemaker in her home.
Genevieve was a member of St. Joseph Church in Force and the Bennetts Valley Senior Center.
She enjoyed playing cards, canning, and spending time with her family.
Genevieve is survived by three children, David Anderson, Hollywood, Katherine Anderson, DuBois, and Bernadett “Bernie” (Terry) Adamson, DuBois; six grandchildren, Joseph, Carl, Corey, Timothy, Bethany, and Kimberly; twelve great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
In addition to her parents and husband, Genevieve was preceded in death by a son, Paul Anderson, her sisters, Mary Cheslock and Viola Escavige, and her brothers, Frank and Joseph Cheslock.
There will be no public visitation.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, November 4, 2021 at 11 a.m. at the St. Joseph Church in Force with Father Mark Mastrian as celebrant.
Interment will be in Morningside Cemetery.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Adamson Funeral Chapel and Crematorium.
