George Novosel Sr., 80, of Brookville passed away on Monday, October 24, 2016 at the Penn Highlands Hospital in DuBois.
He was born on August 19, 1936 in East Liverpool, OH; son of the late George Thomas and Grace Elizabeth Tonti Novosel.
George graduated from Ambridge High School.
He was married to Judy Kurowsky, who she preceded him in death.
George served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.
He is survived by his children, Sheena Guthrie and her husband Jason of Marienville, Grace Minnick and her husband Josh of Knox, Chad Novosel of South Carolina, George Novosel Jr. of Knox, Chris Novosel of Ohio, and Keith Novosel and his wife Tiffany of Florida.
George is also survived by his brother, Arthur Novosel and his wife Susan of Cranberry Twp. and his sister, Denise McAleer and her husband Lee of Idaho.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
At George’s request there will be no public visitation.
Services will be private.
