Gerald B. Evans, 85, of Punxsutawney, PA died Saturday, February 28, 2015 at Mulberry Square in Punxsutawney, PA
He was born March 7, 1929 in Punxsutawney, PA, the son of the late Wayne and Eva Jane (Burkett) Evans.
He was married to Noemi Rivas Evans and she survives.
He served as a Master Sgt. in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict and Vietnam War and retired in 1974..He served Air Force Intelligence as a Supervisor of Maintenance Communications.
He is survived by his wife, two sons, Gerald Evans, Jr. and his friend, Shannon Evans, and Robert Evans and his wife, Tina; and one sister, Doris Startzell of Brookville, PA.
He is also survived by two Grandchildren, Cruz and Ian: and by one Great-Grandchild, Elliot.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Milford, Clyde and Wayne Evans; and by four sisters, Alma Pifer, Minnie Furman, Martha Brosius and Lois Caldwell.
Friends will be received at the Richard L. Fait Funeral Home in Punxsutawney, PA on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 from 1-4.
The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at 4:00 PM with Pastor William Foster offciating.
Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Punxsutawney, PA.
