Geraldine “Avonell” Clark, 95, passed away on April 6, 2021 while a patient at Senior Care Center in St. Mary’s, Georgia.
She was born on February 7, 1926 to the late Leo and Charlotte Gearhart in Worthville, PA. Avonell married Thomas C. Clark on October 7, 1947 in Jefferson County; he preceded her in death.
Avonell was a beautician for Gene Richards before becoming a mother and homemaker. She was apart of the Roseville Homemakers and Roseville Grange. Avonell was also a part of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Brookville, PA.
She is survived by one son; Robert T. (Debra) Clark of Kingsland, GA.
In addition to her parents and husband, Avonell was preceded in passing by her sister; Luella Clark.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 from 1pm to 2pm at the McKinney – d’Argy Funeral Home, 345 Main Street, Brookville, PA 15825. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, April 14, 2021, at the McKinney – d’Argy Funeral Home, beginning at 11am and officiated by Father William Laska. Interment will take place at the St. Ann’s Cemetery in Corsica, Jefferson Co., PA.
