Glenda L. Guyer

Glenda L. Guyer, 80, of Brockway and formerly of Philipsburg, passed away Thursday, August 5, 2021 at the Altoona Center for Nursing Care.

Born September 28, 1940 in West Decatur, she was a daughter of the late Frederick A. “Hick” and Maude I. (Dickson) Thompson.

Glenda was a graduate of the Philipsburg High School and received her Home Health Aide certification.

She retired as a home health aide and had previously worked at the former Harbor Inn and Tasty Freeze.

Glenda was a member of the former Oak Grove United Methodist Church in West Decatur and later attended the First Church of Christ, Philipsburg.

She enjoyed swimming, playing cards and attending the dinners at the Osceola Mills fire hall.

Glenda is survived by two sons Donald F. Coulter and wife Dawn of Brockway and Kent A. Coulter and wife Debra of Roaring Spring; a sister Gail I. Wilks of Philipsburg; 6 grandchildren Jeffrey, Matthew, Kent Jr., Danielle, Tara and Erica; 9 great grandchildren Kaden, Eric, Brielle, Noah, Holden, Madison, Annabelle, Alana and Avery; and several nieces.

In addition to her parents, Glenda was preceded in death by her first husband Donald Coulter, her second husband Larry Guyer and a sister Barbara A. Clark.

Honoring Glenda’s wishes, there will be no public viewing or service.

A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
