Gotwald Cruises to Re-Election as Jefferson County Sheriff


BROOKVILLE, Pa. (EYT) – Carl Gotwald cruised to re-election for Jefferson County Sheriff Tuesday night.

In a race that wasn’t close at all, Gotwald, a Republican, received 7,087 votes to 1,030 for Democratic challenger Paul Pape.

In other county-wide races that were unopposed, Brianna Bullers was elected Register of Wills, Recorder of Deeds & Clerk of the Orphans Court with 7,609 votes, Edward McGinnis (5,533 votes), Douglas Kougher (4,996 votes) and B. Jean Shaw (2,311) votes were elected as County Auditors.
