Grace L. Peace

Grace L. Peace, 82, of Little Valley, passed away Thursday (Nov. 26, 2015) in Pittsburgh, Pa.

She was born Nov. 5,1933, in Jefferson County, Pa., the daughter of the late Willis and Amy (Beck) Strouse.

On May 31, 1954, she married Allen Peace, who predeceased her on Sept. 26, 2002.

Mrs. Peace was the business manager at the Salamanca Hospital until her retirement in 1991.

She was a member of the Napoli United Methodist Church, was Queen of the Napoli Nymphs Red Hat Society and member of the Salamanca Hospital Retirees. She loved to crochet, travel and set up booths at many New York and Pennsylvania craft shows. She was a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother extraordinaire.

Mrs. Peace is survived by a son, Morgan Peace of Kennedy; two daughters, Susan (Raymond) Johnson of Little Valley and Crystal (Barry) Gross of Little Valley; and 10 grandchildren, Benger, Braden, Mariah, Holland, Rigel, Vienna, Lindsay, Leah, Nathan and Miranda; eight great-grandchildren and one on the way; two brothers, Earl (Marcella) Strouse and Willis (Jean) Strouse, both of Reynoldsville, Pa.; two sisters, Lois Pifer and Gladys Peace, both of Reynoldsville; her fiancé and traveling companion, Paul Peace of Punxsutawney, Pa.; two sons-in-law, Randy (Denise) Grupp of Angola and Russell Fisher of Salamanca; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband, she was predeceased by two daughters, Allyn Grupp and Erin Fisher; two brothers, Bruce and King Strouse; a sister, Alice Peace; and a grandson, Raymond Peace Johnson.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Mentley Funeral Home Inc., 411 Rock City St., Little Valley. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday (Dec. 1,2015) at the, Napoli United Methodist Church. Burial will be in South Napoli Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Napoli United Methodist Church or the Little Valley Memorial Library.
