Grace M. Mitchell, 61, Punxsutawney, died Friday, June 10, 2016, at Punxsutawney Area Hospital.
She was born May 4, 1955, in Williamsport, a daughter of the late Marion (Rager) and Malvin Maines.
On April 8, 1993, she married Theodore J. “Butch” Mitchell, who survives.
She was a member of the Punxsutawney Church of the Nazarene.
She enjoyed crocheting, watching the Steelers, walking, and her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Nancy Fike and husband Jason of Hazen and Sara Mohney and husband Adam of DuBois; four grandchildren, Caleb, Ethan, and Jayson Fike, and Lily Mohney; two brothers, Charles Maines and wife Janet of Big Run and Ronald Maines and wife Lisa of Punxsutawney; two sisters, Bonnie Hance of Kanas and Violet Josephine of Georgia; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister Dorie Lantz, a brother Malvin Maines, and infant siblings James and Mary Maines.
She will be sadly missed by her loved ones.
Services are private and under the direction of the Deeley Funeral Home, Punxsutawney.
Interment will be in Hopewell Cemetery.
