Grecco Pitches, Hits DCC Past Philipsburg-Osceola


DUBOIS, Pa. (D9Sports) – Thomas Grecco threw 6 ⅔ innings of shutout baseball before having to come out when he reached 101 pitches, as DuBois Central Catholic knocked off visiting Philipsburg-Osceola, 5-0.

Grecco allowed four hits and two walks while striking out 12. Justin Miknis came on to get the final out.

Four of DCC’s five runs came in the bottom of the first with Tyler McIntosh delivering a two-run double in the inning.

McIntosh was 2-for-3 with a run scored and three RBIs.

Grecco helped his own cause going 2-for-2 with a walk and an RBI, Brandon Walker wa 2-for-2 with two runs scored and Domenic Toretti added a double, an RBI and a run scored.

Keegan Soltis took the loss allowing four runs on six hits and a walk while striking out one in four innings of work.
