Harold D. Richards

Harold D. Richards, 71, a resident of Silvercreek Terrace, St. Marys, and formerly of 563 Brandycamp Road, Kersey, died on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at UPMC Hamot Hospital in Erie following a lengthy illness.

He was born on September 5, 1943, in Brookville, a son the late Gerald “Jack” and Virginia “Bootsie” Uplinger Richards.

Mr. Richards was a lifelong resident of the area and graduated from Brookville High School.

He retired from Motion Control after more than 37 years of service.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and using his metal detector. He also enjoyed local history, especially reading books about the area. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by:

Daughter: Heather Stauffer, St. Marys
Daughter: Paula (Donald) Gasbarre, Johnsonburg
Son: Brian Richards and his fiance Carolyn Meiser, Kersey
4 Grandchildren – Shannon Stauffer, Tony Stauffer, Evan Richards & Erika Meiser
2 Great Grandchildren – Connor Tymczyszyn and Daniel Stauffer and one great grandhild on the way
Brother: Gene Richards, Brookville
Sister: Emiily (Jim) Bullers, Mayport, PA
Sister: Jane (Fred) Miller, Brookville, PA
Several Nieces and Nephews

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James Richards and a sister, Rose McMillan.

Funeral Services for Harold D. Richards will be held on Friday, July 31, 2015, at 1:00 PM at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home on Friday, July 31, 2015 from 11:30 AM until 1:00 PM.

Memorial Contributions may be made to a charity of choice.
