Harold G. Larimer

Harold G. Larimer, 90, of Route 36, Brookville, died Monday, Feb. 25, 2013, at DuBois Regional Medical Center.

Born in Sigel April 14, 1922, he was a son of the late John A. Larimer and Mabel Gilbert Larimer.

Harold was married to Dana Hoovler in the Clarion College Chapel, Clarion June 24, 1950. She survives.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving in the European Theater and participating in the Battle of the Bulge.

He retired as the superintendent of field operations from National Fuel Gas in Oil City after 43 years of service.

He had been the longest-living member of the Mt. Tabor Presbyterian Church in Sigel, where he was an elder.He enjoyed gardening, golfing and bird carving. He dedicated his life to his wife Dana, his family and his Christian faith.

He is also survived by two sons and a daughter, Stanley J. (Pam J.) Larimer of Floyd, Va., Mona M. (David R.) Snyder of Atlanta, Ga. and Gary L. Larimer of West Chester; two brothers, Robert H. Larimer and Ralph B. Larimer, both of Bakersfield, Calif.; four grandchildren: Daniel and Scott Larimer and Brian and Lauren Snyder; and six great-grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by a brother, Lawrence J. Larimer.

There will be no public visitation or funeral service. Burial will be in Mt. Tabor Cemetery in Eldred Township, Jefferson County.
