Harold L Richards101Harold L. Richards, 90, of 290 Hiawatha Street in Brookville died Wednesday February 25, 2015 at McKinley Health Center.

Born August 27, 1924, he was the son of the late Scott E. and Florence Confer Richards.

Harold was an veteran serving with the US Army Air Corps during WWII.

He was married to Florence Joyce Ohl in Summerville on August 12, 1950. She preceded him in death on May 5, 2010.

He was employed by Hanley Brick – Glen Gery Brick Company as an electrician for over forty years.

He was a member of the Port Barnett United Methodist Church where he also served as the janitor for many years.

He also enjoyed being the neighborhood handyman and loved his dog Sophie.

Harold is survived by three sons, L. David Richards and wife Alma of Evans City, Kerry Alan Richards and wife Lori of Breezewood, and Jeffery W. Richards and fiancee Tiffany of Libby, Montana; two daughters, Wendy D. Belfiore of Brookville, and Shelly S. Sampson and husband Don of Brookville; a sister, Dorothy Hetrick of Erie; thirteen grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.

Along with his parents and wife, Harold is preceded in death by two brothers, Gerald Richards and wife Evelyn and Elwood Richards and wife Mira, and a sister Ruby Johns and husband Chester.

Friends will be received on Saturday February 28, 2015, at the Port Barnett United Methodist Church at 65 Evans Street in Brookville from 12 – 1 p.m. with funeral services and military honors to follow at 1 p.m. with the Rev J. Ray Baker officiating.

Interment will follow in the Westview Cemetery, Clover Twp., Jefferson County, PA.

Memorial Donations may be made to the Port Barnett United Methodist Church in Brookville.
