Harold Lee Himes

Harold Lee Himes, 79, of Reynoldsville, passed away at home on Monday, July 13, 2015.

He was born on Dec. 28, 1935, in Brookville, to the late John and Mary Himes.

He married Pauline Elizabeth Eiken on July 11, 1969 and she preceded him in death in May of 1994.

Harold worked as a driller for the P&N Coal Company and was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of the Punxsutawney Eagles.

A loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Harold’s biggest enjoyment in life was his family.

He is survived by three daughters, Patty Dankner and husband Yoram of New York City, New York, Doris Barnhouse and husband Ron of Ohio and Michelle Dicker of Punxsutawney; a son, Allen Musguire and wife Linda of Ohio; seven grandchildren, Leslie, Lori, Shira, Ari, Lee, Lyn and Shayna; and a great-grandchild, Samantha.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Harry Himes, Robert Himes and Jake Himes; and three sisters, Bonnie Reiter, Mary Alice Knapp and Luella Bennett.

Friends and family will be received from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Thursday, July 16, 2015, at Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Punxsutawney.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., July 16, 2015, at the funeral home, with military honors.

Interment will be at Lakelawn Memorial Park, Reynoldsville.
