Harry E. Caylor

harry-e-caylorHarry E. Caylor, 88, Ringgold, died Saturday, December 17, 2016, at Punxsutawney Area Hospital.

He was born July 15, 1928, in Ringgold, a son of the late Mary (Reed) and Emery M. Caylor, Sr.

On January 27, 1949, he married Shirley O. (Shumaker) Caylor, who survives.

Mr. Caylor was a member of the Ringgold United Methodist Church.

Harry was the owner of Fry Electric from 1973 until the present day. He also worked as an electrician and contractor.

He enjoyed fixing things, hunting, and going Walleye fishing with his friends.

He was a 50 plus year member of the John W. Jenks Lodge #534, a member of the Coudersport Consistory, 50-year member of the Jaffa Shrine, 69-year member of IBEW Local 5, charter member of the Ringgold Volunteer Fire Company, served on the Ringgold Cemetery Association, and a member of the Ringgold Sportsman’s Club.

In addition to his wife, surviving relatives include four children, son Dennis Caylor and wife Sharon of Ringgold, daughter Susan Gleason and husband Louis of Ringgold, son James Caylor and wife Karen of Marietta, GA, and daughter Lisa Fye and husband Peter of Punxsutawney; a son-in-law Douglas Farbo of Punxsutawney; seven grandchildren, Megan Reed and husband Christopher, Tim Gleason, Jacob Fye and wife Hope, Samantha Caylor, Derek Farbo, Andrew Caylor, and Justine Fye; three great-grandchildren, Colton Buchheit, Bradleigh Fye, and Macy Reed; two sisters, Doris Kennedy of Stanton and Betty Snyder of Ringgold; and a brother Emery H. “Spud” Caylor, Jr. and wife Roxine of Ringgold.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter Polly Farbo, a brother Robert Caylor, and three sisters, Emogene Lingenfelter, Frances Hartman, and Josephine Snyder.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, December 20, 2016, at the Deeley Funeral Home, Punxsutawney.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, December 21, 2016, at the Ringgold United Methodist Church with Pastor Ken Duffee officiating.

Interment will be in Ringgold Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made, in memory of Mr. Caylor, to the Ringgold United Methodist Church or to the Ringgold Cemetery Association.
