Harry James Schriver

5630449660d51[1]Harry James Schriver, 72, Stanley Bottom, formerly of Stump Creek, passed away at his home surrounded by family and friends after a long battle. He was born May 29, 1943 in Roseman Town, son of the late Arnold and Mabel (Pewton) Schriver.

Harry is survived by his two children: Louis James Schriver of Stump Creek and Mrs. Jeremy (Wendy Lynn) Schriver – Kephart of Penfield, two grandsons: Christian Schriver and Dylan Kephart and four granddaughters: Brooke, Zoie and Isabella Schriver and Vanessa Kephart, one sister: Mrs. Albert (Barb) Eckman of Sykesville.

Harry was formerly employed at Jackson China. He enjoyed hunting, fly fishing, and helping others. He loved his family and working on trucks and as a mechanic. He was a member of the Sykesville American Legion

Harry was in the US Navy from 1960 until 1966. While serving he was involved in Helicopter training squadron HT8 in Pensacola Florida. He served on USS Independence Attack, Aircraft Carrier in Mediterranean, Airman Crash Crew Flight Deck and was a fireman during Cuban Crises and Vietnam.

Friends will be received on Thursday, October 29, 2015 from 10am until 12pm at the Leo Nedza Funeral Home in Sykesville.

Services will follow at Noon at the funeral home.

Military honors will be accorded at the funeral home.

Burial will take place in Morningside Cemetery.
