Hearing for Man Charged With Pulling Knife During Confrontation in Sykesville Continued

JEFFERSON CO., Pa. (EYT) – A hearing was continued on Tuesday for a DuBois man who allegedly pulled out a knife during a confrontation with another man at a residence in Sykesville.

Court documents indicate a preliminary hearing for 26-year-old Austin James Duffalo was continued on April 27 and is scheduled to resume at 12:45 p.m. on May 25.

Duffalo faces the following charges:

– Simple Assault, Misdemeanor 2
– Harassment – Subject Other to Physical Contact, Summary
– Disorderly Conduct Engage In Fighting, Summary

The charges stem from an incident in Sykesville in January.

Details of the case:

According to a criminal complaint, around 12:03 p.m. on January 25, Sykesville Police were dispatched to a residence on North Park Street for a report of a man threatening another man with a knife.

The victim reported he confronted a man who was on his property without his permission, and the man, later identified as Austin Duffalo, then pulled out a knife and pointed it at him, the complaint states.

The charges were filed against Duffalo through Magisterial District Judge David B. Inzana’s office on February 3.
