Helen D. “Pete” Gaston (nee Hockenberry),formerly of Distant,Pa, died on December 28, 2014, at Voorhees Care and Rehabilitation Center, Voorhees, NJ, age 93 years.
Beloved daughter of the late Ralph D. and the late Marge (nee Fonner) Hockenberry.
Devoted mother of Peggy L. and her late husband Keith R. Beichner of Cherry Hill, NJ, Barry J. and his wife Sandra Gaston of Acworth, GA, the late Josie and her husband Dwight Wells, the late William P. and his wife Shirley Gaston. Loving grandmother of Keitha Beamer, Julie Maslinowski, Elizabeth Wells, William B. Gaston, Barry J. Gaston, Karen Parker, Marc Wells, Matthew Wells, Benjamin Gaston and Robert Gaston. Proud great-grandmother of 18 and great-great grandmother of 2. Dear sister of N. Jean Evans of Distant, PA, the late Grace Leshoel, the Late James Hockenberry, the late William Hockenberry and the late Harold Hockenberry.
Pete was born and raised in Distant, PA. She was the Head Resident Assistant at Clarion University for 30 years.
Funeral services and interment of her cremated remains will be held in Distant, PA in the Spring of 2015.
