Mrs. Kennedy was born February 19, 1920 in Summerville, a daughter of the late Samuel E. and Minna Mae (Alcorn) Ballentine.
Helen is preceded in death by her husband Ronald V. Kennedy, Sr.
She was a member of Grange Church of God.
Helen was the last surviving member of her family.
She was a lifelong member of ReAct, loved bowling, word search puzzles, a very intuitive business woman and a gifted poet.
She is survived by her son; Ronald V. Kennedy, Jr. and wife Aleyda of Florida, daughters; Patty Pifer and Sally Travis and boyfriend; Gordon Schaberl all of Punxsutawney, seven grandchildren, seventeen great -grandchildren, a great-great-granddaughter; Alyssa and two step great-great grandchildren. In addition to her husband Ronald, she is preceded in death by her grandchildren; Stacey (Travis) Blake, Toby Travis, brothers; Henry, Richard & Theodore Ballentine and sisters; Iva “Dolly”, Jessie, Susannah, Jean and Ethel “Bill”.
Friends will be received from 1 -3 pm Saturday, September 5, at the McCabe Funeral Home in Punxsutawney where a funerl service will be held at 3 pm with Pastor Janis Bracken officiating. Interment is private.
