Helen K. Clingan

Helen K. Clingan, 95, Punxsutawney, died Saturday September 5, 2015, at UPMC Altoona.

She was born July 22, 1920, in Redbank Township, Armstrong County, the daughter of the late Minnie E. (Powell) and C. Clifton Milliron.

Helen previously worked for the FBI in Washington, D.C. and then went on to work for Olson’s Lamp Studio in St. Petersburg, Florida before moving back to Punxsutawney in 2002.

During the thirty-three years that Helen lived in St. Petersburg, she frequently enjoyed hosting family members and friends for extended visits and vacation. Her generosity, wisdom, and wit will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She enjoyed gardening, reading, crossword puzzles, and watching the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates.

Surviving relatives include a brother Keith Milliron and wife Hazel of Lodi, CA; three nephews, Robert E. Milliron and wife Cathy of Morganton, NC, Dr. Keith Milliron and wife Kathy of DuBois, PA, and Cliff Milliron and wife Lisa of Lodi, CA; three great nieces; and two great nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother John J. Milliron.

Friends will be received from 4 to 6 p.m., Tuesday, September 8, 2015, at the Deeley Funeral Home, Punxsutawney.

A funeral service will be held at 6 p.m., Tuesday, September 8, 2015, at the funeral home.

Interment will be in Circle Hill Cemetery, Punxsutawney.

Memorial Contributions may be made, in memory of Mrs. Clingan, to the Porter Church or Christ the King Manor.
