Helen L. Amatrone

OI1441287229_Amatronephoto[1]Helen L. Amatrone, age 91, of Glasshurst Road Brockport, PA; died on Friday, November 6, 2015 at Highland View Health Care in Brockway.

Born on November 18, 1923 in DuBois, PA; she was the daughter of the late Michael and Mary Michalik Geib. Helen was married to William J. Amatrone and he preceded her in death on January 7, 2009. Retired, she had been employed as a cashier at the Montgomery Ward store in DuBois, and also had worked as a secretary at Northwest Mining.

Helen was a member at St. Tobias Church in Brockway and was a member at the Horton Sportsmen’s Club. She enjoyed bowling, playing bingo and donating her time as a hospice volunteer.

Helen is survived by 3 sons: Christopher (Tami) Amatrone of DuBois; Gary Amatrone of Brockport and William “B.J” (Kathy) Amatrone of Brockway; 1 sister: Margaret Keller of Mechanicsburg, PA; 6 grandchildren: Michael, Timothy, Nicole, Ryan, Jesse and Tyler Amatrone and 6 great grandchildren: Christopher, Adrianna, Peyton, Hayley, Maddie and Tyler.

In addition to her parents and her husband she is also preceded in death by a brother Raymond Geib.

Calling hours will be on Tuesday, November 10 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at the Carlson-Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. in Brockway.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 11 at 9:30 AM at St. Tobias Church in Brockway with Msgr.

Charles Kaza officiating. Burial will follow in St. Tobias Cemetery.

A Vigil Service will be held at 3:45 PM Tuesday afternoon at the funeral home.

Memorial donations may be made to the Brockway Ambulance Association.
