Helen L. Dennison, 95, formerly of Punxsutawney, PA died Friday, February 5, 2016 at Jefferson Manor in Brookville, PA.
She was born October 11, 1920 in Punxsutawney, PA, the daughter of the late Joseph H. and Hazel (Bhe) Dennison. Helen was the former owner, along with her sister, Ruth MacKenzie, of Ruth and Harry’s Restaurant in Punxsutawney.
She is survived by one son, Timothy Morris and his wife, Patti of Reynoldsville, PA; two daughters, Barbara Bailey of Washington, PA, and Rebecca Tartal and her husband, John of DuBois, PA; four grandsons, Brian Bailey and his wife, Tonda of Myrtle Beach, SC, Christopher Bailey and his wife, Jessica of Pittsburgh, PA, Adam Morris, Esq. of Lemoyne, PA, and Noah Tartal of Kylie, TX; and three granddaughters, Hannah Morris of Bloomfield, PA, Sarah Tartal of Erie, PA and Abby Tartal of DuBois, PA. She is also survived by her loving niece, Denise Vieli of Punxsutawney, PA
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Gerald and Ronald Dennison, and by two sisters, Josephine Weick and Ruth MacKenzie.
There will be no public visitation and a funeral service will be held at a later date.
Interment will be in Circle Hill Cemetery, Punxsutawney, PA
Arrangements are being handled by the Richard L. Fait Funeral Home of Punxsutawney, PA.
