Helen Maxine Amundson

Helen Maxine Amundson, 86, of Punxsutawney, PA, died Sunday, March 29, 2015 at the AM-PM Personal Care Home in DeLancey, PA.

She was born April 5, 1928, in Punxsutawney, PA, the daughter of the late McCurdy and Mary Elizabeth (Crissman) Bush.

She was married to Gerald J. Amundson, who preceded her in death in 2005.

She was a member of the First English Lutheran Church in Punxsutawney, PA.

She is survived by two daughers, Vicki Drake and her husband, Ray, of Punxsutawney, PA and Gail Salada and her late husband, Tom, of Boalsburg, PA;

and two sons, Douglas Amundson and his wife, Nancy of Newnan, GA, and Amund Amundson and his wife, Sherri of Auburn, IN.

She is also survived by 11 Grandchildren, Curtis Drake and his wife Kristen, Stephanie Haas and her husband, Eric, Stacey Johnson and her husband, Robert, Stephen Amundson and his wife, Emily, Kristyn Frantz and her husband, John, Meghan Black and her husband Nate, Zachary Salada, Dana Salada, Douglas Salada,Megan Amundson and Madison Amundson.

Also by 8 Great-Grandchildren, Alyssa Drake, Mattisen Drake, Daniel Drake, Jacob Haas, Jonathan Haas, Keighan Johnson, MacKurdy Johnson, and Allegheny Frantz.

Friends will be received at the Richard L. Fait Funeral Home in Punxsutawney, PA on Friday, April 3, 2015 from 2-4 and 6-8.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2015 at 10:00 AM at the First English Lutheran Church in Punxsutawney, PA with Rev. Maureen Selfried officiating.

Interment will follow at the Smicksburg Lutheran Cemetery in Smicksburg, PA.

The family requests that donations in memory of Maxine be made to Meals on Wheels or the First English Lutheral Church.
