Helen Pearl Britton age 94 (formerly of Sugar Hill and Brockway, PA) died on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at the Liberty Ridge Health and Rehabilitation Center in Lynchburg, VA.
Born on September 8, 1922 in Westville, PA; she was the daughter of the late Vernon Lu and Anna Matilda Lundgren Anderson Sr. She was married to John Eugene Britton and he preceded her in death in 1987. Retired, Pearl had been employed at Brockway Glass as a packer. She was a lifetime member of the Beechwoods Presbyterian Church.
She enjoyed crocheting, traveling and babysitting her grandchildren. Her greatest enjoyment came from just being with her family. Pearl touched everyone’s life with her smile and her spirit.
She is survived by 2 daughters Cindy (Rod) Moline of Moneta, VA and Connie (Jerry) French of Madison Heights, VA; 5 grandchildren: Amanda Marchioni, Natilie Marchioni Hofmann, Lisa Hendricks, Brian French and Kristi Conode.
She is also survived by 7 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and her husband she is also preceded in death by 3 brothers: Evear Anderson, Claude Anderson, Vernon L. Anderson Jr; 3 sisters: Gloria Anderson, Elaine Smith and Marie Swanson and a great grandson William Canode.
Friends will be received on Friday, November 18 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Carlson-Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. in Brockway.
A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM also at the funeral home with Pastors Dave and Emily Koehler officiating. Burial will follow in the Beechwoods Cemetery.
