Helen Petty

Helen Petty, 97, of Broadway, VA died on Friday, March 6, 2015 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Binghamton, NY. She was born in Sykesville, PA on July 18, 1917 a daughter of John and Anna Gula.

Mrs. Petty had many interests; she loved to crochet, make rosaries, rugs, gardening, canning, cooking, going berry picking and taking family vacations to New York and the beach.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John, a granddaughter, Andrea Petty and ten siblings.

Survivors include four children; Helen Sandy, John Petty, Kathleen Dove and Ronald Petty; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 12 from 7-9 PM at Moser Funeral Home, 233 Broadview Ave, Warrenton VA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday, March 13 at 2 PM at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 271 Winchester St., Warrenton, VA. Interment will follow at Bright View Cemetery.
