Helen Ruby Williams, age 97, formerly of the Pansy area, passed away on Thursday, August 27, 2015, at the Jefferson Manor in Brookville, PA. She was born on February 26, 1918, in Baxter, PA, to Ralph and Nellie (Reitz) Shaffer.
She had a career working for Sylvania in Brookville, PA, as a line inspector and later she worked for the Area Agency on Aging.
She was of the Baptist faith. She is survived by her son Richard D. Williams of Oil City, PA; 1 grandchild, Debra R. (Gregory D.) Smith; 3 great-grandchildren, Ashley, Shannon, and Brandon; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by 1 grandchild, Richard Douglas Williams II. The family held a private graveside service on Saturday, August 29, 2015, at West View Cemetery in Clover Twp., Jefferson Co.
The service was officiated by the Rev. David Borger. Arrangements were under the direction of the McKinney – d’Argy Funeral Home, 345 Main St., Brookville, PA, 15825.
