PUNXSUTAWNEY 7, ALTOONA 3
ALTOONA, Pa. – Peyton Graham, Lucas Burkett and Lance Pennington led visiting Punxsutawney to a 7-3 win at Altoona.
Graham and Burkett led the offense with Graham going 3-for-4 with two doubles and a triple and Burkett finishing 2-for-4 with a pair of RBIs.
Pennington got the win going 6 ⅔ innings and allowing three runs.
DUBOIS CENTRAL CATHOLIC 9, CURWENSVILLE 2
CURWENSVILLE, Pa. – Justin Miknis, Michael Misiewicz and Thoma Grecco each had two hits to lead visiting DuBois Central Catholic to a 9-2 win at Curwensville.
Grecco added three RBIs, while Justin Miknis and Misiewicz each scored twice. Jake Miknis added a pair of RBIs, while Jack Frank scored twice after getting a hit and walking three times. Garrett Prosper, designated hitting for the first time, added three RBIs.
Jake Miknis picked up the win going four innings and allowing two hits and no runs while striking out six and walking three. Dom Torretti, getting his first varsity action got the save going three inning and allowing two runs.
Austin Lansberry had a double for Curwensville, while Austin Butlin and Noah Strickland drove in runs.
