MECHANICSBURG, Pa. (D9Sports) – Practice for PIAA winter sports officially get underway Friday.

Many teams have already been holding voluntary open gyms, but Friday marks the official start of practice for seven PIAA sanctioned sports: basketball, wrestling, swimming, gymnastics, bowling, rifle and indoor track and field.
The first official contest date for rifle and bowling is Dec. 5 with the rest of the sports able to start Dec. 9.
