WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – According to DuBois-based State Police, a hit and run occurred on Beechton Road, at its intersection with Bushley Road, in Washington Township, Jefferson County.
Police say at an undetermined time on February 3, an unidentified vehicle was traveling south on State Route 1011 (Beechton Road) and the unknown driver lost control of the vehicle while negotiating a left hand curve.
The vehicle traveled off the roadway where it struck a guide wire for a utility pole, causing the utility pole to break, according to police.
After impact, the vehicle fled the scene, police say.
No other information was provided.
