Community Action to Survey Jefferson County’s Homeless

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Pa. – Community Action will be surveying Jefferson County to identify “unsheltered homeless” on the night of January 22, 2020.

It’s part of the 2020 Pennsylvania Balance of State Unsheltered Point-in-Time Survey of the Homeless.

Homelessness exists throughout rural Pennsylvania but often goes unnoticed, according to Community Action.

Unsheltered Homeless refers to individuals and families residing in a place not meant for human habitation such as cars, parks, sidewalks, abandoned buildings, or on the street.

If you suspect someone is homeless or if you are homeless, please contact Community Action, Inc. for assistance at 814-938-3302 and request to speak with a Homeless Case Manager.
