Clarion County 911 received a call around 1:17 a.m. for a report of an explosion at 64 Moon Lane, just off Grand Avenue Ext.

Clarion-based State Police said the call was made after an occupant of the home, Michael Allen Guntrum, was awakened by the explosion and found the ceiling to be engulfed in flames.

Upon arrival, Clarion Fire & Hose Company No. 1 reported that the one-story home was fully-engulfed in flames.

Police say the house is a complete loss with damage estimated at $65,000.

No injuries were reported.

There is no word on the cause of the fire; however, the Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshal Unit says the fire remains under investigation.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Clarion-based State Police.

Clarion Hospital Ambulance and West Penn Power assisted at the scene.
