Howard Cecil Kromer

Howard Cecil Kromer, 85, of Punxsutawney, PA died Saturday, May 16, 2015 at home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born July 1, 1929 in Punxsutawney, PA, the son of the late Philip and Mary Ada (Burkhouse) Kromer.

He was married to Carol Darby Kromer and she survives.

He was a veteran of the US Army, having served during the Korean Conflict.

He worked as a truck driver.

He is survived by his wife, four daughters, Deborah Brown and her husband Richard of Connellsville, PA; Treanna “Terrie” Smith and her husband, Lewis of Connellsville, PA; Cathy McCurry of Lakeview, FL; Joanne Mennetti and her husband, Mike of Punxsutawney, PA; and three step-sons, Scott Rhodes of Punxsutawney, PA; Gary Rhodes and his wife Kim of Mayport, PA; and Jeffrey Rhodes of Reynoldsville, PA; and two sisters, Betty Lou Singell of Cleveland, OH and Anna Ruth Connor of Woodbridge, NJ

He is also survived by 25 Grandchildren, several Great-Grandchildren and 1 Great-Great Grandchild pending.

He was preceded in death by two sons, John Paul Kromer and Howard Michael Barrick and by one-step-son, Terrence Rhodes and by 10 brothers and sisters.

Friends will be received at the Richard L. Fait Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 20, 2015 from 2-4 and 6-8

The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, May 21, 2015 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Guy Smith officiating.
