Howard E. Yeaney

Howard E. Yeaney, 80, Reynoldsville, passed away Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at Penn Highlands Healthcare in DuBois.

Born April 11, 1934, in Punxsutawney, he was the son of the late Howard W. and Helen (Kromer) Yeaney.

On July 23, 1957, he married Donna I. Yeaney (Adamson) in Punxsutawney. She survives.

Howard was a steel worker for U.S. Steel and retired in 1977. He was Protestant by faith. He was a member of the Eagles and the Steel Workers Union.

In addition to his wife, Howard is survived by two children, Jodie Plotner and Rick Yeaney, both of Reynoldsville; three grandchildren, Jason Plotner, Jessica Hoyt, and Justin Yeaney; a great grandchild, Cleighton Hoyt; a sister, Debra Porter of Punxsutawney, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Ester J. Powell and Marilyn Himes, as well as two brothers, Robert and William Yeaney.

Memorial donations may be made to the organization of the donor’s choice.

Friends will be received Saturday, November 8th from 1-2 p.m. at the Adamson Funeral Chapel, Inc. in DuBois. A funeral will follow the visitation at 2 p.m. with LaMarr Adamson C.L.P. officiating. Interment will be in Sykesville Memorial Cemetery.
