Howard “Ray” Stahlman

Howard “Ray” Stahlman, 89 of Reynoldsville, passed away Saturday, September 19, 2015 at Sprankles Personal Care Home.

Mr. Stahlman was born December 29, 1925 in Coolspring, a son of the late Norman F. and Bessie E. (Raybuck) Stahlman. He was preceded in death by his wife Florence (McDonald) Stahlman.

He was a WWII Veteran of the US Army where he served in the Fighting 69th Division. Mr. Stahlman was a member of the Zion United Presbyterian Church.

He was a master carpenter and cabinet maker and a member of the Rossiter American Legion.

He is survived by his son, Larry A. Stahlman and wife Connie Jo of Jackson, Missouri, daughter’s, Deborah S. Knarr and husband John of Centre Hall, Elizabeth A. Wolfe and friend Dennis Byers of Mahaffey, grandchildren, Micah D. Wolfe and wife Melissa, Jarrod Stahlman and wife Barb, Nathan Stahlman and wife Rachel, Abram Knarr and Phedra Karoy and husband Marius and a sister, Orpha Wisneski. In addition to his wife he was preceded in death by a brother, Harold L. Stahlman.

Friends will be received from 2­4 & 6­8 pm Wednesday, September 21 at the McCabe Funeral Home inPunxsutawney. A funeral service will be held at 10 am Thursday, September 22 at the funeral home with Pastor Steven Hendrickson officiating. Interment will follow at Lakelawn Memorial Park where militery honors will be accorded by the Rossiter American Legion.
