DUBOIS CENTRAL CATHOLIC 14, BROCKWAY 3, 6 INNINGS

BROCKWAY, Pa. – Riley Assalone and Tessa Sayers each had three hits to lead a 14-hit attack by DuBois Central Catholic in a 14-3, six-inning win at Brockway Wednesday.

Ashley Wruble pitched six strong innings for the Lady Cardinals giving up five hits and two walks while striking out two.

All three of Brockway’s runs came in the fourth inning.

Kayla Dowdall led the Lady Rovers with a pair of hits.

BRADFORD 10, BROOKVILLE 9

BRADFORD, Pa. – Mackenzie Smith’s base hit over the leftfielder’s head drove home Ashley Stolz from second base with the game-winning run in the bottom of the seventh, as Bradford knocked off visiting Brookville, 10-9, Wednesday.

The Lady Raiders had rallied from two down in the top of the seventh to knot the game at nine thanks in part to a leadoff home run by Carlie McManigle, which was then followed by a game-tying single by Caitlyn Hill.

Stolz, who had a pair of hits, scored four times for Bradford, while Smith was 3-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored.

McManigle and Jordan MacWilliams each drove in three runs to lead Brookville, while Elaina Powell had a pair of RBIs including a sacrifice fly.
