Human Remains Found in Jefferson County, Murder Investigation Underway

PERRY TWP., Pa. (EYT) – Authorities say human remains have been discovered in the village of Hamilton, Jefferson County.

PA State Police along with Jefferson County Coroner Bernard Snyder recovered the remains of a white male at an unspecified location in Hamilton in Perry Township, Jefferson County.

Hamilton is approximately 9 miles south east of Punxsutawney.

Police list the nature of the incident as Criminal Homicide.

Additional details are expected to be released later today.

Punxsutawney Central Fire Department Dive Team and Perry Twp. VFD assisted at the scene.
