Icy Roads Cause One-Vehicle Crash in Winslow Township

Police car lightsWINSLOW TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – DuBois-based State Police responded to a one-vehicle accident on Reynoldsville-Sykesville Road in Winslow Township, Jefferson County.

Police say 39-year-old Robert Falk, of Reynoldsville, was travelling south around 9:35 a.m. January 9 in a 2005 Chevrolet Cobalt.

Falk’s vehicle begain spinning counterclockwise when he was negotiating a right curve and struck an icy patch on the roadway, according to police.

The vehicle continued to spin and then crossed into the northbound lane and off the east side of the road before striking an embankment.

The vehicle came to final rest facing north.

The vehicle was towed from the scene by Zimmerman Towing.

Falk was not injured in the crash.
