Icy Roadway Causes One-Vehicle Crash on Route 119

car-accident-graphic-5254_jpg_475x310_q85-300x225HENDERSON TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – According to Punxsutawney-based State Police, around 9:00 p.m. on January 24, a one-vehicle accident occurred on Route 119, 2592 feet south of Pike Road, in Henderson Township, Jefferson County.

According to police, 19-year-old Brianna L. Frampton, of Punxsutawney, was traveling south along Route 119 and lost control of her 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee on an icy patch of the roadway.

The Jeep rotated counterclockwise and slid off the east edge of the road, and the rear end of the vehicle struck a tree just off the roadway.

The vehicle came to rest against the tree.

Frampton and all occupants were using seat belts and were not injured.

A child passenger was secured in a car seat and was not injured.

The vehicle was towed from the scene by Brocious Auto.
